The South Coast Early Summer Rally will be at Lymington on the weekend of 16/17 May 2015 (HW Portsmouth 10.28)  We have reserved 6-8 berths on the Dan Bran pontoon with supper at Lymington Town Sailing Club on Saturday night.

Lymington is a beautiful Georgian market town situated at the Western end of the Solent.  The Dan Bran pontoon has electricity, free Wi-Fi and is conveniently located just a few metres from Lymington Town SC and the Mayflower public house (accommodation available).

The town is full of interesting small shops, designer boutiques and a good selection of food outlets and pubs.  On Saturday a market is held in the High Street, the origins of which date back to the 13th century.

Showers and toilet are available at Lymington Town SC – key code required, and will provided by the harbour staff.

The Dan Bran pontoon is the first pontoon on the west side of the river, bordering the marina.  Our boat, Albertine, will be there from Friday afternoon so please look out for her and moor up.  You will not be able to call the Harbour Master on your ship radio, but if you need to contact him ring the land line 01590 672014.  If you intend to arrive before Saturday please contact the harbour staff and state you are with the VSA Rally.  You may be able to go straight onto the Dan Bran pontoon, if it is free, otherwise the harbour staff will advise.

Please pay for your berth at the Harbour Master’s Office, stating you are with the VSA Rally on arrival, where you will be given codes etc.

We will have the usual drinks party on the pontoon and aboard Albertine at 1800; please bring your own glasses, wine and nibbles to share.
