Wanted - masthead aqua signal series 40 nav light

My masthead light came off, and is now 4km down somewhere in the Atlantic.

If anyone has replaced their tricolour/anchor light, and don't know what to do with it then I can help!

Dear Jonathan,

I hope you didn't loose your light in too strong a breeze.
It may be of interest to you that it's possible to opt for led bulbs, as I did by sending my daughter of 14 up my mast and having her replace traditional bulbs. They seem to give a very bright light, with good visibility.

Kind regards,

Re: Wanted - masthead aqua signal series 40 nav light

Now sorted thanks.

I guess that the light cracked whilst being hove to - probably due to shock loads when breaking waves hit the boat, either over the top or more likely hitting the side of the hull.   The night the fitting finally disappeared conditions were relatively calm (down to one or two reefs I think), so can only assumed that the damage was done earlier, and a bit of wobbling at some point finished it off.   At least the bottom bracket was fine - the screws really do not want to move so taking this off and replacing with a different design is going to be a mast down job.
