ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Notice
Annual General Meeting
Sunday 17th November 2013 at 14:30 at Linden House, 60-62 Upper Mall, London, W6 9TA home of the London Corinthian Rowing and Sailing Club
Dear Member,
Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of The Victoria Shadow Association will be held on Sunday 17th November 2013 at 14.30 at Linden House.
The Agenda will be as follows:
1. Welcome from the Chairmen
2. Apologies for Absence
3. Minutes of the Previous Annual General Meeting
4. Matters Arising
5. Treasurer’s Report
6. Secretary’s Report
7. Website Report
8. Journal and Newsletter Reports
9. Regional Reports from the Thames, South Coast, and East Coast
10. Election of Officers of the Association and the Honorary Auditor
11. Presentation of Trophies
12. Any Other Business for Discussion
13. Closing Remarks by the Chairman Yachts
Prior to the Annual General Meeting members may assemble in the bar and luncheon will be served in the Commodore’s Room. Timings are as follows:
12:00 Assemble in the first floor bar overlooking the River Thames for coffee or drinks and to purchase wine for lunch
13:00 Move to the Commodore’s Room for lunch
14:15 Move to the Captain’s Room on the ground floor for coffee, the Annual General Meeting and an illustrated talk
16:00 The meeting should be brought to a close
Members wishing to attend should contact the Honorary Secretary by Friday 8th November. Those wishing to attend the luncheon should express their menu preference A or B from the choices overleaf by e-mail to jon.fairwinds@btinternet.com or telephone 01489 581622. The cost of lunch will be £25 per head which can be paid to the Treasurer on the day.
Election of Officers of the Association
All officers of the Association, who also make up the Committee, hold office for one year only and are re-elected at the Annual General Meeting. The following officers have agreed to serve for a further term if elected:

Honorary Treasurer

Having served the Association for a number of years the following have expressed a wish to stand down at the Annual General Meeting and replacement members will be required:

Waterlines Journal Editor
Peter Cosker
(Peter has agreed to continue as the Newsletter Editor and as such will fill a casual vacancy on the Association Committee)
The following posts remain unfilled and for which volunteers are required:

South Coast Regional Organiser
East Coast Regional Organiser

Luncheon
Menu A
Spinach, bacon, toasted pumpkin seed salad with honey and mustard vinaigrette
Slow cooked pork with juniper, rosemary and red wine served with vegetables, and a celeriac creamy mash
Cherry and almond tart with cherry compote and ice cream
or
Menu B
Red onion and goat cheese tartlets with rocket salad
Salmon steak with a cream, mustard and dill sauce served with wilted spinach and new potatoes
Cherry and almond tart with cherry compote and ice cream
Wine or other drinks for lunch can be purchased from the bar prior to moving to the Commodore’s Room
Location
Linden House is located beside the River Thames and is ten minutes walk from Hammersmith Bridge or Ravenscourt Park tube station. By car access is via Oil Mill Lane, a turning off the west bound A4 Great West Road, between Hammersmith and Hogarth roundabouts, immediately after the BP petrol station. Linden House is at the end of the lane on the left. Parking is limited.
