Blue Alligator sails to the Bijagos – September – December 2023

In September 2023, I set off from the Azores island of Santa Maria with Blue Alligator, my Victoria 34, to sail to West Africa. Our destination was the Bijagos Archipelago. The 88 islands and islets belong to Guinea-Bissau. But they form a world of their own and are a very special sailing area. I documented the trip in my blog. But I also write about encounters and the reasons why I sailed there in the first place. I have kept the blog bilingual. However, my mother tongue is German. That's why the English translation may sometimes sound a bit strange. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy reading it and find it inspiring.
