F26 Staysail gooseneck (response to facebook topic)

Robert Sadler posted a request for a picture of the F26 staysail gooseneck on the face book page.

Below picture is as fitted to mine (Mithril) although she was home completed and spars were bought in kit form so may differ from those fitted to yard built boats.

Thank you Simon. Do you know if the attachment that is effectively wrapped around the stay has some form of collar or bush to avoid stress on the stay?

The gooseneck rotates freely around the stay and will move up and down on the stay.
Eye on the staysail is retained by the pin on the staysail boom.
The sail is secured to the stay by as series of piston hanks
There is a short wire strop currently lying on deck which shackles to the base of the fitting limiting movement when the sail is set.
