Intercom headsets for larger boats with more than 1 crew
I'm sure I'm not the only denizen of these forums that watches the Sail Life channel on YouTube (though perhaps I am). Mads and Ava sail a 38-footer than they've reconditioned, and something I noticed in one of their videos earlier this year was the use of single-ear headsets for communication between the stern and bow when anchoring or dealing with a marina berth.
Today, I was finally able to get a good look at the logo on the side of the headsets, and through the magic of Google's Image Lens reverse image search, I've found that the brand is Eartec, and the line/model is probably the UltraLITE.
Blue Opal's engine is pretty loud (and this winter won't be when I get more sound insulation into the void behind the engine, alas), and hand signals don't work if your bow crew has to have their back to you to deal with a warp or anchor. The Eartec gear isn't cheap (500 EUR for two headsets, batteries, charger, case), and I'm sure their are other brands out there, but trying to find the actual type of thing they were using has taken me a few months!
So, if you're in a similar position of needing an easy way to talk to someone at the other end of your boat (over a loud engine for instance), they might be worth a look.

And while I say "larger boats", I would have loved these on my 21 foot Pandora International - I had an old 5 HP two-stroke hammering away next to me, and it made it really hard to communicate to someone sitting next to me, let alone someone on the bow.
