Galley space -Frances 26
It would be nice to be able to stow a few more things around the galley. The deep locker behind has plenty of spare height, and the cupboard under the sink has difficult to use space. Storage for a few more tins of food etc., and bit easier space for pots and pans would be good. Perhaps a sliding basket on the underside of a shelf?
Francesca has the standard galley layout and swings a full cooker (so there is no real usable space underneath it).
Has anyone got any bright ideas, or modifications to improve?

Re: Galley space -Frances 26
Hi Jonathan,
I created a fair bit of extra storage space on Inyoni, by cutting the fold down chart table in half. (I have done at least 100,000nm now using only digital charts, and the huge chart table seemed like a waste of space).
I kept the forward half, but cut a hinged lid in it. I stow my PC, ships papers etc in there. Where the aft section was, I now have 3 useful lockers.
I can take a few photos if you, or anyone else, is interested.
I am also planning on utilizing the wasted space on the Starboard side of the forward Vee berth. I will put in 2 shelves to hold things like an iPod, books etc that one needs in bed.
Regards,
Bill.

Hi Jonathan
I have 6 plastic containers with lids in the deep locker behind the sink and cooker. They are stacked in 2 rows of three and still allows about 30 cm of free full height storage at the forward end. They just fit through the doors to the locker so access is still pretty good.
Each container is 28cm(L) x 20cm(W) x 14cm (H). I think these are the ones based on the bar code label stuck on them: https://www.mxwholesale.co.uk/products/ … 7570993207.
Best regards
Andy

Bill - thanks - photos - always - never tire of looking at other peoples boats for inspiration!
Andrew - thanks. If there was a thoughtful emoticon I would put it in here.
