Removing Companionway Cover on a Frances 26 ?
Hi,
Has anyone got any experience of taking off the companionway cover into which the plexi-glass hatch cover slides ?
Ideally I'd like to take it off (temporarily) to get access to some bolts for fittings which I believe are underneath.
It's a job that's on my "desirable" To Do list rather the essential list - so I don't want to open a whole new can of worms if it's a pain of a job. Any advice greatly appreciated.
Kevin.

Did this some years ago, and don't remember any problems. From memory, there are a few screw in the side, and probably a bit of sealant involved - I have a vague memory that the screws go into battens but might be wrong on this. There is also a batten on the end of the plexiglass (or whatever it is). If you are getting any drips inside in that area it is worth re-sealing everything whilst you are there, possibly even the brass runners.
