Portholes (V30)
I've recently purchased Jenny Wren (V30)
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction to source the through hull bolts that hold the rectangular portholes in place.
Thanks in advance

Re: Portholes (V30)
Do you mean the brass bolts with brass acorn nuts?
I have replaced all of mine on my Frances 26 with stainless steel ones. I have a lot of the old brass ones if you would like them. I could post them to you from Malaysia.

Re: Portholes (V30)
Craig,
I didn't want to use stainless steel bolts on mine for fear of galvanic corrosion issues as I could not see a way to isolate them from the brass
The brass bolts I removed were badly wasted and clearly suffering from de-zincification so very weak (and the portholes were leaking badly).
I had the frames polished and lacquered to remove all the green crud.
I wanted to use bronze bolts but couldn't find any that small.
I sourced suitably sized brass bolts, washers and acorn nuts from a hardware site here in the states (Mcmaster-Carr).
There must be similar suppliers wherever you are.
I also replaced all the glass (with tinted laminated glass cut to size with ground edges) as water was getting between the laminations. Bedded this with removable sixaflex and found new seals from the makers (unfortunately can't remember who that was) as it was an early job on the boat so a while ago.
Refitted the portlights bedded in yet more sikaflex so hopefully good for the next 30 years.
Rgds
