Pippin in the Azores - Spare part needed
Well after 14 days, too many fighting horrid headwinds, Pippin and I are at Terceira as part of the Jester Challenge 2021.
It isn't a race, but Pippin was 3rd to arrive out of a very small fleet of 8.
This achievement says far more of the Frances 34 PH, than its skipper, and my answer to the many who queried my pale and pasty complexion on arrival was that I spent about 12 of those days very comfortably inside reading. I never touched the helm, except when coming in and out of harbour and the real hero of the hour was Hercule the windvane (the electric autopilot is, of course, called Hastings), a redoubtable Hydrovane.
Naturally we suffered a very few breakages, the most irritating of which is the jam cleat atop the wheelhouse for the main sheet.
If any Association member can give me the exact details of a replacement I would be eternally grateful I am told that to have anything shipped form UK is problematic and subject to bureaucratic delay and so I would be better to have it shipped from say Germany, which I can arrange.
Please email me jmwillis290@gmail.com if you can help

Hi John,
Very well done!
Have you any photos of the broken jam cleat? From a photo, I am sure we could work it out.
I'll drop you an email in case you don't see this reply.
Rest up!
Kind regards,
Charlie.
