Lack of Light Fitting in the heads of a Victoria 800

There is no evidence that there has ever been a light fitting in the Heads compartment of my Victoria 800. Is this standard?
If so what is the rationale?
It has been suggested to leave the door open. This does not sit well with my wife, daughters, or grand daughters!

Hi David,

Not sure why you have no light in the Heads which is rather important if anchored and need to visit during the night.  I have a light in Volante's Heads but cannot recall if fitting extra lights was considered as an extra. In Volante's case they operate if the switch on the main panel for lights on the starboard side is switched on.  I Hope you can rectify this omission, by possibly running an extension from the aft light in the main saloon on that side.

Peter
thanks. I am in the process of renewing all the original cabling from, what appears to be untinned 3 core 'domestic,' to tinned. I am proposing to install an LED strip light with its own switch in the Heads. I am changing all lighting fixtures to LED and have put LED lamps in the Nav lights.
