Companionway sliding hatch
I am trying to remove the sliding hatch on my V800. See photos. Can someone advise? I am unable to see how to do it and the garage appears to be permanent.

Re: Companionway sliding hatch
Murray - if it is like the Frances, the garage is screwed onto wooden battens (probably rotten!). From memory you can then slide the hatch forward.

Re: Companionway sliding hatch
Thought an update helpful. The garage had to be removed and the brass slider strips had to be lifted at the cockpit end - two screws each - in order to remove the hatch as the hatch has stoppers to prevent it sliding too far under the garage. The wood battens were in good condition, teak I think and I will give them a couple of oil soaks.
