Colin has test sailed the Frances 34 for an article in Sailing
Today and owned a Victoria 26 for many years. He has kindly
allowed us to publish this history of Victoria Yachts.

based on boats designed in the United States of America and built in
Maine by Morris Yachts, who are still trading today.

The Morris Yachts that
the Victoria Yachts were based upon were designed by Chuck Paine. His
first design was the 26 foot Frances.

The Morris Yachts 26
foot Frances and the 30 foot Leigh were very similar to our Victoria
Yachts Frances 26 and Victoria 30.

On this side of the
Atlantic, Victoria Marine Limited started to build the Frances 26 at
Warsash on the River Hamble.
