Widgeon is a cutter-rigged
Victoria 30
based at
Marchwood on Southampton Water
what Dee has to say ... |
Tim and I have
purchased Widgeon from Tolsbury in Essex from an Anne Baber, her
father was the owner but unfortunately died of Parkinsons.
Widgeon was a
very sad looking case in need of lots of love and TLC with which we
have been lavishing on her since we got her at the end of October '07.
She has osmosis
and she has now been peeled, grit blasted and steamed and hopefully is
now drying ready for epoxy. Tim did the peeling himself but she is
being done under a surveyor and an osmosis expert is helping us on the
tricky bits, meanwhile we are cleaning everything i.e. cooker, loo,
sails, cushions, spray hood - well everything - the list is too long
but eventually hope to have her up to concours condition. It will take
a while but hard work and fun to do, at the end of the day we feel
they are worthwhile boats to do.
We are looking
forward to meeting some members on February 24th. Will send a photo
when she looks a lot better.
Yours sincerely,
Tim and Dee
