EverGreen

Extract from an e-mail received on 22 May 2006...

"...Unusually we've got this far without really having decided where we're going for our summer cruise but I think it will be north, (though we were thinking of Ireland for a while), and both Orkney and the Outer Hebrides have been mentioned. If we do Orkney, I think we'll take the Caledonian Canal at least one way to save a little time.

Best regards, Lesley and Paul"

"We continued to have good luck with the weather this summer and had a lovely trip through the Caledonian Canal with Paul's parents, then back through the Crinan by ourselves."

Lesley Whitfield and Paul Brittain have owned EverGreen, a Victoria 26 sloop, since 2003 when they purchased her in Christchurch near Bournemouth. In the first year they sailed her to the Isles of Scilly and north to the Menai Straits. After a season there, they sailed up to the River Clyde where they have been based ever since. They organised our only Scottish Rally in recent years at East Loch Tarbert.
