BEST LOG CUP 2018

In 2017 the Association agreed to change the judging process for the award of the Best Log Cup.  Hitherto the award of the Best Log Cup had been determined by a panel of three individuals, and in some years, submissions had been from a very limited number of individuals.  However, in 2017 ten Logs, in various forms, were submitted to the Association.  This year, to date, three logs have been submitted, two of which have been and uploaded onto the Association Website to date.  This will enable the full membership to participate in the judging process.

Members’ judging should be against the established criteria, which are: route plan, information about the passage, weather conditions, boat equipment, ports and anchorages, pictures, people interest, and humour.  However, you might just prefer to nominate the most interesting and informative Log.  Whatever your criteria just send an e-mail to jon.fairwinds@btinternet.com with your preferred nomination.

The first two contributions can be found on the Association Website, Forum, Cruising Logs, or from the link on the home page.  The third entry, and perhaps others that will be inspired to enter, will be found in the same location on the Website in due course.

Colin Reid – TUI – Straits and Narrows - Dart to Menai Strait 2018
Lynda Spencer – ALBERTINE – Day Sailing to Spain 2018

Please view the Logs and let me know the name of your nominated winner for the Best Log Cup.  Voting will close on Sunday 18th November 2018.
