Mast Gate Frances 26

I have a new battened main from Crusader sails which is great, only trouble is I have to feed in every slide, does any one have a solution other than fitting a track and slide from Tides marine at £900 ?

Charles - are you saying that the slides get caught at the gate and need help, or do not fit past it at all?

Do you have a Proctor mast, and do you know which slides have been used on the main?

Thank you for your reply, the slides need to be hand feed into the sailgate, I was looking for a way to improve or enlarge the original mastgate, I will sent a photo.

Re: Mast Gate Frances 26

Charles,
I have noted your comments regarding your mast gate, which from the photo looks like a fairly standard fitting. Do you remove your main sail on a regular basis or do the slides fall out through the gate when the sail is lowered. On my Frances 34 I have to feed the slides in every time i put the mainsail on the mast and then when the sail is lowered the slides drop down below this point.
Jon.
