SOLENT PROTECTION SOCIETY
The Victoria Shadow Association is a member of the Solent Protection Society who will be running a number of lectures during the winter, the first of which is to be held at the Southampton Solent University Conference Centre, SO14 0YN on the 22nd January 2014.
The Solent Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centre (MRCC) will close in September 2014 when a new National Maritime Operations Centre, at Segensworth, Hampshire will become fully operational.
Geoff Matthews from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency will explain the changes and provide for a question and answer session about the potential consequences for maritime safety in the Solent.
