Our Open Forum has
had 58 genuine postings since it was created. Out of the total number
of 1559 postings, 1501 have been spam, often of the worst kind. I
have, therefore, decided to stop all further postings for the present.
I hope to re-open
the forum early in January 2009. It will still be an Open Forum but
posting messages will require password access. This will be
automatically and freely given by e-mail to genuine e-mail addresses.
This will not prevent any spam being posted but, on its deletion, no
further postings from that e-mail address will ever be accepted.
When posting to the
new Open Forum is resumed, expect to see both cosmetic and more
fundamental changes. The introduction of a Subject Title and Threads
to enable easy coupling of an initial posting with replies and
responses being an example.
