With a high ballast ratio (51%) and powerful 7/8th fractional rig she is both safe fast and forgiving. I have carried out many improvements over the last 8 years including fitting a new Beta Marine 13.5hp engine in 2003 which although no larger physically than the standard 1GM is quieter more powerful and possibly more economical to run which with the larger prop gives a cruising speed of 6 knots and a maximum hull speed of 6.5 knots. Bluegrass has taken me to France many times, the Isles of Scilly and all along the south and east coast more often than not single handed. The only reason for sale is the joint purchase of a larger yacht with a friend. Bluegrass is in commission for 5 months of the year in the Helford coming ashore every winter at Gweek.
